Verification Standards

Local Legends uses a Trust Ladder approach to verification. We deliberately avoid collecting sensitive government identification for standard accounts; trust is earned through verified contact methods, evidence of real work, and community feedback.

1. Email Verification

Every account verifies an email address before publishing a public profile or sending a customer inquiry.

2. Phone Verification

Optional but encouraged. Phone-verified accounts gain a small badge on their public page and unlock community features faster.

3. Creator Verification

Creator-verified accounts have demonstrated real work through a meaningful portfolio, complete profile, and verified contact information. No government ID is required.

4. Business Verification

For accounts representing a registered business, we accept (but do not require) supporting documentation. We may verify a business website, public business listings, and a registered business name. Sensitive owner identification is not collected.

5. Community Verification

Built over time through verified reviews, sustained activity, and consistent reputation.

Our team reserves the right to require additional checks where fraud or impersonation is suspected.
